Dr Naveed Yousuf is the CEO of the ExaminationBoard and Chair and Associate Professor of Practice at the Department for EducationalDevelopment, Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS), Aga Khan University.
Dr Yousuf has over a decade of experience in large-scale education assessment and psychometrics. He is an Honorary Advisor on Psychometrics for the Royal College of General Practitioners International Board (South Asia) and a member of theInternational Association for Educational Assessment. At the national level, Naveed Yousuf is a member of the highly significant Inter Boards CoordinationCommission and the Punjab Examination Commission. In 2022, AKU recognised Dr Yousuf's outstanding contribution to student assessments with the UniversityInnovation Impact Award of Distinction.
He has over 15 years of teaching and faculty development experience at national and international levels. His expertise and interests are primarily in curriculum development, large-scale assessment and psychometrics, and academic leadership. Dr Yousuf received AKU’s OutstandingTeacher Award in 2012, the Faculty Development Award in 2013, and theCollaborative Award for Teaching in 2023. He has successfully led grant projects funded by UNICEF, the EuropeanUnion, the Asian Development Bank, and the Aga Khan Foundation. He has several publications in books and indexed journals to his credit.
Dr Yousuf completed his MBBS degree from Sindh Medical College, followed by a Fellowship in Medical Education from theUniversity of Illinois, Chicago. He has a Master of Business Administration from the Institute of Business Management, an Advanced Diploma in HealthProfessions Education from AKU, and a PhD in Medical Education (specialising inAssessment Psychometrics) from the University Ambrosiana, Italy.
