Driessen is interested in learning and assessment in the workplace (e.g. mentoring and portfolio) and meta-research (e.g. responsible research conduct). He has published > 175 peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters on these topics. In 2021 he was awarded ASME’s Gold Medal for his contributions to medical education. He’s an Honorary Fellow of the Academy of Medical Educators in the United Kingdom.
